We had a great Easter weekend visiting everyone. The Easter Bunny found Ava and so did everyone else! Thanks to the Smith Cousins, Papa and Nanny & Grampy for all the presents!

Uncle Gary and family are in F'ton for Easter and Birthday celebrations. Tonight we're all going to cheer on the Leafs kick the Canadiens ass and hope Philly Flyers somehow does the same to the Islanders! Please oh please!

Jolly Jumper

I've tried and tried to get Ava enthusiastic about the Jolly Jumper but she doesn't seem all that interested! She may hop a time or two but that's it...then a yawn! She seems to be more interested in how it works and holds up (future Engineer?!). Here are a few pics from today!

It's Official...

I've started looking for a job! I have been applying to various places. I can't say there is anything too exciting out there for me to get excited for. Does Fredericton offer anything out there besides Customer service, or Administrative Assistant or Part-Time? Geesh! I can't believe I have to start from the bottom all over again! I can't get my mind around the Permanent Part-Time jobs...whatever. I was offered a part-time job at Canada Post doing Customer Service but it's very much part-time and I really need Full time. I have been searching all the job sites morning, noon and night and applying to anything that is reasonable and full time. It really is a job on it's own to hunt for a job!

Better late than never!

Well it's been a few weeks since we've know but I'd like to post a BIG Congratulations to Peter on his new appointment as Staff Accountant at NB Liquor. No more contract! We were getting a bit worried as his contract we moved home for was ending in June! Ava and I are very proud! :)

Leblanc, Kupkee, Slipp

This past Saturday Ava explored her Acadien roots in La Coeur d'Acadie a.k.a Cap-Pelé. Ava got to visit her Great Mémère Leblanc. We were lucky to get a 4 generations pic as Nanny went for a visit too! Uncle Gary and the family stopped in as well so we also got a great grandchildren pic too.

Marshmallow Girl!

Here's Ava in her winter white snowsuit. It finally fits her as it should and it's Spring! This suit is a 6-9 months size which she hasn't worn in a while compared with all her other clothes. I just bought 18-24 months for her to fit in to from Old Navy! She's so darn tall all her pants are short and she's only 8 months old!

Splish Splash!

Ava has graduated from her baby tub to the kitchen sink. She loves bathtime so much! I just can't get enough of her smile!

New Seat!

Ava has officially outgrown her first car seat and has moved up to her bigger seat! It's so sad to pack up the old one...it just seems like yesterday we bought it! I personally find the new car seat a huge pain in the a$$. Anyone reading this please let me know if you've found it difficult to tighten the straps in the car while the seat is still rear facing and in the middle seat. One word...awkward as H-e- double hockey sticks! I think you need to be a contortionist to get her in safe and secure! I also find Ava sits quite erect in the seat and her head hangs forward if she falls asleep. We are wondering if this happens in all 3-in 1 seats or just the one we purchased. Please let me know!

Yesterday (Saturday) we decided to go for a little hike through Odell park. It was so nice to be out in milder weather! Ava found the walk so nice and relaxing she had a nap on Daddy's back!

I have fixed the problem! The other day I was frigging around with my cookies settings and somehow I must have selected the internet security options and placed it on High rather than Medium. This was blocking me from seeing all the important posts I wasn't able to view. I can now function again and walk away from the PC. Pete was begining to wonder about me last night when I was at the computer for hours trying to figure this all out. :)

Hmmmmm...

So I've been checking everyone's blog's out over the past week or so and was noticing that either everyone is in down time and have nothing new to report or there is something wrong with my blog. My last post I made with Mom's birthday doesn't even show up for me. When I go in to my blog the last post I see is Ava with her Kupkake shirt...but if I click on February 2007 my newest post appears. So I discovered that I now have to click on the month on everyone's blog to view the most recent posts(I did see your new furniture Adrienne...Very Nice! :)). This all seemed to happen with my last post. I'm not sure if I clicked on something I shouldn't have or what. Help me somebody! It's driving me nutz. I now have a bit of catching up to do. Hope everyone is doing well. Today was beautiful and Ava and I finally got a big walk in the slushy sidewalks.

On a different note. We have had an accident with our camera. It took a plunge in our kitchen sink full of water! We should be buying a replacement this weekend!

We had a good Valentine's Day yesterday. Ava had her 6 month shots, she was a trooper once again! She's a tough little girl! She is weighing 18 lbs and is a monstrous 28 inches long! I see basketball/modelling in her future if she keeps growing at this pace! ;)

We had a mini photo shoot in the afternoon. Ava wasn't really herself after taking all those needles but here are a few I thought were worth posting!

6 Months old Giggles!

Ava turned 6 months old yesterday...so hard to believe! She's enjoying her first taste of green beans and loves her rice cereal she has been eating for the past month! We go for her 6 month check up on Wednesday. I'm curious to see how much she weighs now! She has to be getting close to 20 lbs! Water Baby!

Ava started her swimming class last week(Sunday) at the Y. She seems to enjoy the water! She's gearing up for a fun filled summer of swimming at Skiff Lake.

Saint John Sea Dogs

Pete, Ava and I went to Quispamsis for a weekend get away. As part of our Christmas gift Kathy, Brent & the kids gave Pete and I tickets to see the Sea Dogs(QMJ Hockey) play Friday night and they babysat Ava while we had a night to ourselves. I guess we never had the camera out too much but here is a pic of Auntie Kath with Ava.
